Audio Clips No. 1 - 5

The enjoyed making these sample clips. They made me pay attention and notice very subtle differences in sound. This project also allowed me to look at sound at a much smaller quieter level amplified so I can hear it. It also was a good oppirtunity to look around, get some fresh air, and observe my surroundings in a different lens.

Walk Before Sundown

I was lucky that I was able to get this last soundclip because on sunlight constraints. I walked about a stretch of a block looking around the block not really trying to focus on any one sound particular. The point of this is to create a more random atmosphere. This was also more experimental because I did not try to alter any of the sound quality from the recording.

Audio No. 4 Garbage Can

I was walking by a garbage can and descided to document it. I choose a garbage can because its not something you usually stick your head into to listen for interesting sounds. On top of that I wanted to mix the dry and wet sounds up more because I had already done a PVC pipe and a Mountain Can. The large cylinder like body amplified and trapped sounds well.

Small Illuminating Apparatus

I was once again at a bus stop; a different one than the prior (it was much larger bus stop). I was looking for sounds and I noticed that the room was buzzing. I looked up to see 4 dirty spider web infested lighted fixtures. I recorded even though there were five or six nastey big spiders surrounding the lights.

SoDa CaNNN - on the bus stop

This waste was a half emptied soda can conviniently left on the bus stop bench. This is actually what ultimatley made me stop recording for the day because I was thirsty and wanted to go back to the dorms. I have to be honest I forgot to throw the can away after I was done recording it. May be someone else will get to use it?

PVC pipe + H20 = F@$#!!!

I had to sacrifices some of my mic to get this sound clip. After a bit of dry recording my mic took a dunk for some under the water recording. I didn't realize this until about half way through the recording. The sounds that came through were very punctual and fluid because of the water and the small enclosed area.
